It is snowing so it is nap time!

Well no matter what it's always time for nap time. Opted to stay home today and out of the storm. Had a little nap and apparently they decided to keep me company cause this was the positions when I woke up.

"Nip and Tuck"

Friday was the big day...Roo got neutered. After a fun episode at 7am involving claws, a cat carrier, a broom and an underneath of a bed - I finally got him to the vet. He came through with flying colors and is back to his kitty self. Though he does look a little more leery toward me now!

Everyone has their place

It's a typical night on the couch. The white blob is Stella on my lap. All kitties lined in a row (except Dax as he is sleeping in his condo)

Quirky characteristics - Dax

Things you didn't know about the kitties and their strange little personalities...I'll start with Dax - the quirkiest of them all.

He has an obsession with the caps off water bottles. Cannot put them down or they become his property.

I have never once seen him hiss or growl at any other cat. He has an uncanny ability to relate to other cats and know how to approach them. I think hissing confuses him.
He is just like a typical man - he burps, farts and snores.

This picture was taken the day I brought him home. As you can see he was clearly stressed out. From the moment he entered the door, it was like he'd always been there. Life has never been the same since. I thought I was getting an adult cat - in reality I just got a big "kitten".

Disgruntled kitty faces

My girls Stella and Scuds are so good at giving dirty looks (some would argue Stella is permanently disgruntled). The one of Scuds is the look I got this morning when I wouldn't let Scuds on my lap. Stella, well that's just her look lying on me.

Smile! It is Friday!

Static is neat!

So we have another new obsession for the boys. It's made watching tv a little challenging. Roo discovered that the old tv in my bedroom gives a little jolt when he touches the screen. This is something Dax had not caught onto. Thanks Roo.

Foster baby all growed up!

The lady that adopted one of my little kittens (Sheldon) from my Big Bang Theory crew of kitties emailed me an update on him today. His colouring is gorgeous so I had to share!

This is Sheldon now - he'd be about 6 months old. Look at the defined colouring on him! Such a pretty boy. I see he likes the bathroom too...

This was little Sheldon 3 days after I brought him into foster care. They were probably only about 4-5 weeks when they came to me. Sick, sniffly and freakin' adorable.

The bathroom fascination

You may think the washroom is time I get to myself but not so. They all love it, especially the boys. Scudsie still thinks one corner of the bathroom is haunted so she is careful. But doesnt stop her. Next image is a perfect example. That spot in the middle is where I get to lean over to wash my hair.

Good night from the boys

We have run. We have played. Now we sleep (until mom gets up then we will follow her upstairs)

Bedtime

Lord help me. Anyone who says cats are aloof never met mine! Regularly all four sleep in bed with me. Scudsie above my head on my pillow, Stella on my right and Dax and Roo on the left. Roll call complete.

Introducing the cast of Sixteen Kitty Paws

Well, to my cousin Michelle - ask and you shall receive. I bug you about updating your blog, and now you can bug me about mine.

So, I'll introduce the cast of this blog...

Stella...aka Stelly, Stellies, Jelly Bean, Muffin Top...of the list goes on.

Date of Birth: June 29, 2004

Body Type: Petite princess

Attitude: Demanding, but not in an overly bossy way. Still has not forgiven me for having more than just her as a cat. Would be fine if the other three fell off a bridge, got run over, or any other demise that would lead to her being an only cat.

Scudsworth...aka Scudsie, Sudsie, Two Ton Tony, Scudsiebees, Sudsalicious, ChubChub

Age: About the same age as Stella

Body Type: Pleasantly plump, but has lost some weight in the past few months. We're both thankful for that - she can now clean her own butt.

Attitude: She definitely has one. Unimpressed by other cats, but not usually too mean to anyone else but Stella. Loves to be on your lap, doesn't take no for an answer.

Dax...aka Daxies, Daxidoodle, Daxles, Trouble, Stinky

Age: Not sure, but judging by his demeanor, less than two years old.

Body Type: Large, tall and a chub that is growing by the day it seems.

Attitude: Loves everyone and everything. Adores other cats, can't understand when they don't adore him. Very active, haven't found a cat toy yet he doesn't enjoy.

Roo...aka Roobles, Roo Roo, Roobydoo

Age: About 6-7 months

Body Type: Still growing, eats like a horse but slim

Attitude: This little guy...oh what can I say about him - used to be terrified of everyone and everything in the world. Was supposed to be a temporary foster - he never left. Sweet and cuddly personality, still a little skiddish but pretty darn kitten-like now. Best friends with Dax.

So that's the low-down on the family. My days are always interesting with these four around! Stay tuned, they never cease to provide good entertainment.
